Country Clubs Feel the Squeeze

In perhaps a sign of the economic times, country clubs, long a symbol of upward mobility and wealth in this country, are hurting for business. The National Golf Foundation has identified more than 500 country clubs across the country at serious risk of closing, reports The Washington Post. A recent survey of club managers showed that twice as many members resigned during the past 12 months than during a typical year.
